Why do we spend a lot of money every year and thousands of hours building solutions that don't fit in the end? Often it comes down to business requirements that were captured and formulated poorly.
Good business data models prevent this waste. They capture business terminology and requirements precisely and at different levels of detail โ ensuring smooth communication between business and IT.
Three modules that build on each other โ from the foundations through building schemas to assessment with the Data Model Scorecardยฎ.
Over 30 hands-on exercises accompany the modules. Each one is explained in detail, with enough time to work through it yourself. A workbook guides you through every task.
From "Modeling a book" and "Fun with cardinality" to the Six Questions.
To work through all exercises โ explained step by step.
Examples like "Identify the normalization issues" and "Making a reservation".
Template to validate your own models against ten categories.
